The Bible emphasizes the importance of hard work and stewardship. “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans” (Proverbs 16:3). We are called to support policies that promote ethical business practices, innovation, and opportunities while caring for the less fortunate and being mindful that we do not enable laziness. The Bible also says, if you do not work, you also are not entitled to food.
A strong economy provides stability for families, allowing parents to provide for their children and invest in their future. Policies should prioritize job creation, fair wages, and support for small businesses that are the backbone of family prosperity.
When the economy is foundering, so is the foundation of our state and our families. The backbone of our state’s economy are the men, women, and young people that get up in the morning and go to work.As a state government, it is our responsibility to those who get up in the morning and go to work that we partner with them to create a great, thriving economy that they care grow and reach the goals/dreams they have.
When families and individuals are economically empowered, they enjoy greater personal freedom and independence. A thriving economy reduces dependence on government and fosters a culture of self-reliance and opportunity.
In order for us to help the people of Wyoming thrive and improve their economic condition we must: lower taxes, remove all unnecessary regulatory barriers, lower their cost to live, and give them an open-mined state government that listens to their ideas and makes it happen.
Short-sighted economic decisions can lead to financial instability. Thoughtful, sustainable economic policies will ensure a prosperous future for Wyoming, preserving its resources and creating lasting opportunities.
We borrow way too much money and we spend way too much money; this undermines the opportunities we might otherwise have to go to the people of Wyoming and say… “Hey, what do you want us to do to help you grow in Wyoming?” We should be serving the people and giving them a place where they can thrive.
Wait on the Lord and be of good courage and He shall strengthen your heart, wait I say on the Lord. Psalms 27:14
