Listen to My "Who Are You?" Interview with Just-Blame Joey

Meet Joseph

I’m Joseph Kibler — a husband, father, Christ follower, and proud Wyomingite living near Cheyenne with my wife, Charity, and our three amazing kids.

I’m running for Governor because Wyoming doesn’t need more legislative bandaids — we need to tear it down to the studs and build something that lasts.

It’s time to tackle the root problems head-on with real leadership and real solutions — grounded in Faith, Family, Freedom, and the Future.

Let’s Give Freedom Back — because real freedom doesn’t need permission.

What you’ll get from me is what I stand for, what I run for, not what or who I am against.

I’m Joseph Kibler — a devoted husband to my incredible wife, Charity, and proud dad to our three amazing kids. We live just outside Cheyenne, where life still has room to breathe and values still mean something.

I’m running for Governor of Wyoming because I believe in getting to the root of the problem, not piling on more bloated bureaucracy. Wyoming doesn’t need more legislation, more red tape, or more permission slips from the government. What we need is real leadership and real solutions — the kind built on principle, not politics.

So, who am I?

I’m a Christ follower, a husband, a dad, a business owner, a friend, and yes — a guy with maybe too many hobbies and side hustles. I wear a lot of hats, but at the heart of it all is a calling to serve.

I grew up at a Christian camp, where I learned the power of faith, hard work, and showing up for others. In 2002, I launched a website and marketing business that’s still going strong today. Along the way, I spent nearly 20 years as a Paid Call Firefighter — 15 of those as a company officer — responding to thousands of emergencies, leading through chaos, and learning what it really means to put others first.

I’ve worked as a facilities manager, an operations director, a chief operations officer, CEO, missions leader — and I’ve served  mowed more lawns and scrubbed more toilets than I can count. And I’m better for it.

My experience isn’t confined to a boardroom or a campaign stage — it’s been forged in the field, under pressure, through service, sweat, and a deep belief that freedom doesn’t need permission.

I’m stepping into this race not to build a political career — but to Give Freedom Back to the people of Wyoming. We’re tearing it all back to the studs and rebuilding a government that works for the next generation, not just the next election.

If that sounds like the kind of future you believe in — come walk with me.

Let’s give freedom back — because real freedom doesn’t need permission.

Well, when I’m not working, campaigning, or juggling the many hats of life — I still make time to enjoy the world God created.

I love camping and hiking, especially here in Wyoming where the wide-open spaces remind me what real freedom feels like. I’ve got a soft spot for U.S. stamp collecting — buying, selling, and trading — it’s like holding a piece of history in your hand.

You might also catch me unwinding with a good video game now and then — lately it’s been No Man’s Sky, Anno 1800, and Satisfactory. (Let’s just say I like building things — virtually and in real life.)

I’m also a big fan of bird watching and have a deep fascination with falconry. And most recently? My friend Rob and I went in on a 20-acre rock hounding claim just outside of Cody. Let’s just say digging in the dirt has never been so much fun — or so full of surprises.

At the end of the day, I believe the little things — the simple joys, the quiet hobbies, the fresh air and freedom of the outdoors — are what keep us grounded and remind us what we’re fighting for.

Because this isn’t just about politics. It’s about preserving a way of life worth living.

I was born and raised in Southern California, but in 2020, my family and I packed up and made the move to the great state of Wyoming, where my wife’s roots run deep and the values feel like home.

Now let me be crystal clear — while I may have California on my birth certificate, I left all of that political nonsense at the state line. As my kids and I like to say, some of those government ideas back there are just plain kookoo brains.

Wyoming is where we’ve planted our feet, raised our kids, and embraced a life built on faith, family, and freedom. This is our home — and I’m running for governor to make sure it stays a place where liberty lives, where common sense still matters, and where the next generation can grow up proud of their state and their future.
