Education: Schools, curriculum, and teacher support

As Governor, I will advocate for an education system that supports Wyoming families and empowers students through classical education values. School choice and transparency will be at the heart of my policies to ensure our children’s success

Faith: The Foundation

There are a few things missing from our schools. The Bible, The Ten Commandments, and Prayer. I think it is a good idea that we teach kids that murder is bad. 2 Timothy 3:16 says that “All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness.” The Bible emphasizes the importance of teaching children in the way they should go (Proverbs 22:6).

Family: The Reason

Education should partner with families, not replace them like it attempts to do now. Parents should be responsible for their kids’ education and behavior, not the state. Policies must respect parents’ rights as primary educators and ensure curricula support the teaching of core family values like responsibility, respect, and diligence. School should equip kids for actual real life, not confuse them about their meaning and purpose.

Freedom: The Result

An educated (not indoctrinated) population enjoys greater personal and societal freedoms. They THINK for themselves and are by far more successful in life and as citizens. By ensuring access to quality education for all, school choice, in a place where we empower teachers to TEACH, we can empower individuals to pursue opportunities and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Future: The Consequence

Decisions about education must consider their impact on the future workforce, culture, and civic engagement. The current misguided policies of today will have devastating effects on tomorrow’s society and actually already have a devastating effect on today’s society. Investments in the utter gutting and reforming of our current public education system are investments in the future of Wyoming.

Additional thoughts on Education

Education is a God-given opportunity to grow in wisdom and purpose. Faith teaches us to seek knowledge and truth, but the current college system often strays from this mission by burdening students with unnecessary courses and excessive debt. Reforming higher education aligns with the values of integrity and stewardship, ensuring students can pursue meaningful learning without being financially exploited.

College costs place a tremendous financial strain on families, often leaving students and parents with overwhelming debt. By reducing unnecessary requirements and making college programs more focused and affordable, we protect family finances and ensure parents can invest in their children’s futures without fear of long-term debt.

An affordable and streamlined college system provides students with the freedom to pursue their passions and careers without being shackled by debt. By promoting workforce readiness and eliminating wasteful spending, students gain independence and the ability to contribute to society without financial constraints.

The current system of inflated college costs and redundant requirements creates a future where too many graduates face financial hardship and underemployment. Reforming higher education now ensures that Wyoming’s young people are equipped for fulfilling careers, a strong workforce, and a sustainable economic future.
