Cheyenne’s Super Day is supposed to be about fun, food, and community. For me, it became something far deeper. The first person who stepped up to my booth didn’t ask about politics or policy. They prayed for me. Hours later, as the crowd began to thin, the very last person who came by also prayed for me. And in between those two moments, I was reminded exactly why I’m running for Governor of Wyoming.
I prayed with a man who had just lost his wife of 35 years — his voice breaking, his heart heavy, but his faith still holding on. I invited a few felons to church, not because I saw them as their past mistakes, but because I believe in second chances. I spoke with people who had walked away from church years ago, tired of hurt or disappointment, but maybe — just maybe — willing to give it another try.
Some folks came for my “not world famous” honey peach iced tea (and I’ll admit, I’m a little proud of it). But they stayed to talk about the future of Wyoming.
We talked about real solutions — property taxes, education, the economy, protecting our freedoms — but I also made it clear that my mission to love and care for people will always outweigh my desire to win an election.
It’s easy for politicians to say the right things when a camera is rolling. But as I tell folks, I want to Be Something Different. That means proving, through my actions, that I care about the person in front of me more than the position I’m running for.
I didn’t start this campaign because I wanted a title. I started because I believe Wyoming deserves leadership that is real. We’re missing that right now.
When I say “Give Freedom Back — because real freedom doesn’t need permission,” I mean we should strip away the layers of unnecessary control and trust our people again. When I say “More Than a Political Talking Point,” I mean it’s not enough to just talk about faith, family, and freedom — we have to live it, even when no one’s watching.
Super Day reminded me that winning elections is temporary — but investing in people lasts. If the only legacy I leave is that folks remember I loved my neighbor, listened without judgment, and spoke the truth with courage, then I’ve done my job.
We can’t just talk about being different in politics. We have to show it. That’s why my campaign isn’t about “getting to the top” — it’s about lifting others up.
Wyoming, let’s Be Something Different. Let’s Give Freedom Back. Let’s make sure faith and compassion are not just campaign slogans, but the heartbeat of how we lead.
Wait on the Lord and be of good courage and He shall strengthen your heart, wait I say on the Lord. Psalms 27:14
