Real Questions, Real Answers: My May 27 AMA with Wyoming Voters

On May 27, 2025, I went live again for an AMA — Ask Me Anything — and this one covered more ground than any we’ve done before. Wyoming voters didn’t hold back, and I didn’t either. We talked property rights, guns, taxes, green energy, and even had some fun with questions from my kids.

Watch the full AMA here:

Here’s a sample of what we tackled:

Mike, our horseshoer, asked about property taxes and rights.
I said it then and I’ll say it again — property taxes are a slow erosion of real ownership. If you have to pay the government every year just to stay in your home or on your land, you don’t truly own it. We’re going to fix that by rolling back burdensome policies and strengthening protections for working families.
Brian asked about gun rights.
Wyoming is a 2A state, and we’re going to keep it that way. Whether it’s allowing firearms in public buildings or defending against federal encroachment, I support your right to keep and bear arms — not just for hunting or sport, but because liberty needs defense. No registry. No compromise.
My son asked, “If a cop pulls you over when you’re governor, will he give you a ticket?”
I laughed and said, “He better!” Being governor doesn’t put you above the law — it makes you more accountable to it.
Michelle asked why I’m running.
Because I’m tired of watching this state be held back by career politicians and top-down mandates. I’m running to rebuild Wyoming’s future from the ground up — with faith, family, freedom, and real solutions.
We talked about the feud between Governor Gordon and Church Gray over green energy.
I’m not in this race to pick sides in squabbles. I’m here to ask deeper questions: does this policy serve the people, or serve a global agenda? I’m for energy freedom — not federal subsidies and gimmicks that punish working folks.
Kevin wanted to know how I’ll DOGE state and local governments.
I chuckled at that one, but took it seriously. The answer: decentralize, optimize, guard our sovereignty, and empower local communities. It’s not about tech trends. It’s about common sense.
Brandy asked what I think about education and government funding.
Government money always comes with strings. I support school choice, homeschool freedom, and funding that follows the student — not the system.

My kids asked if I can lower the cost of living.

I told them I’ll fight to get government out of the way so hard work actually pays off again. That starts with cutting red tape and restoring local economies. I also talked about how if we can produce and lower energy costs, the byproduct would be lower cost of living.

Frank wanted to know where I stand on life and abortion.

I’m 100% pro-life. Life begins at conception and deserves protection. I’ll talk more about the reasons people get an abortion than abortion on the campaign trail.
Eric asked how I’ll stay available as governor.
This AMA is the answer. I’ll keep showing up, keep listening, and keep being just as accessible in office as I am on the trail.
Corey asked about police overreach and targeting.
We’ll defend law enforcement — and we’ll also make sure no agency is allowed to abuse its power. Both things can be true. Accountability protects good officers too.
Corner Crossing?
It’s a property rights issue at its core. We’re going to make sure landowners, hunters, and public land users have clear, fair policies that respect all sides.
📣 These are the conversations that matter. Thank you to everyone who submitted a question. And if you’ve got one of your own — send it in. I’m listening.
